FILM PRODUCTION & FIXERS IN MONGOLIA

One of the projects we remember most fondly dates back to 2005, when OnVelvet Mongolia worked closely with French casting director Audrey Gatimel on a major French film production in Mongolia.

Our team managed an extensive casting process involving more than 3,500 people across Ulaanbaatar and Darkhan, helping the production find the right faces and characters for the film.

Over approximately six weeks of preparation and production, we also worked closely with acclaimed French director Guillaume Nicloux, supporting the project locally and helping coordinate the demanding production requirements on the ground in Mongolia.

A particular highlight for our team was having the opportunity to work with Monica Bellucci, the star of the film. The production was made with UGC-YM, bringing together an experienced French creative team and our local production crew in Mongolia.

More than two decades later, we remain grateful for the trust placed in us and for the opportunity to work alongside such accomplished filmmakers and international production professionals. Experiences like these helped shape OnVelvet Mongolia into the production partner it is today — combining strong local knowledge, large-scale casting capability, production coordination and close collaboration with international creative teams.
